Because the triglycerides in oils have different melting points, the oil fractionation production line controls the crystallization temperature and performs solid–liquid separation to divide a single raw oil into multiple products with distinct melting points, compositions, and applications. 1.Preheating and Melting
In the Ocean oil fractionation production line, the raw oil is first heated to typically above 70°C to ensure complete melting of all existing crystals. This essential step resets the oil’s crystal structure, ensuring a clean, uniform liquid foundation for precise crystallization.
2.Crystallization
The controlled crystallization stage is the core of the Ocean oil fractionation production line. In this step, the oil is gently and uniformly cooled under continuous agitation until it reaches the target temperature. Cooling rate is critical. If the process is too rapid, numerous fine and unstable crystals may form, making filtration difficult; if too slow, overall efficiency is reduced.
Within the oil fractionation system, precise temperature control allows high-melting triglycerides to gradually form stable, uniformly sized crystals. In some cases, seed crystals are introduced to guide nucleation and achieve an ideal crystal structure that ensures smooth and efficient separation.
3.Filtration
After crystallization, the slurry, containing both solid crystals and liquid oil, is transferred to separation equipment within the Ocean oil fractionation production line. At this stage, the goal is to effectively divide the solid hard fat from the liquid soft oil. The oil fractionation system commonly employs advanced filtration or centrifugation techniques, such as vacuum drum filters and membrane filter, to achieve precise and efficient separation.
